Colchester United Football in the Community have provided an update following FA plan approval.
Following the FA’s announcement on Saturday 18th July that the UK Government has approved its plan for the return of outdoor football, our FITC will continue its phased approach to our own Safe Return to Play procedures.
We are very aware that some parents and players would have liked us to revert to normal training methods immediately, however this would have meant a huge shift in how we have successfully operated the sessions over the past few weeks.
We are therefore phasing our approach for a further week.
Monday 20th July - Sunday 26th July
Contact between players during playing time only will be allowed, coaching bubbles of upto five players will continue to be used. All procedures pre and post will remain in place including any breaks during sessions.
Monday 27th July Onwards
Contact between players during playing time only will be allowed, however coaching bubbles of upto five players will not be used. All procedures pre and post sessions will remain in place including any breaks during sessions.
