FITC Link Up With Aviva Community Fund

Work continues to help the vulnerable during COVID-19

9 June 2020

Colchester United's Football in the Community Scheme, (FITC), have joined up with the Aviva Community Fund.

The FITC are continuing their Community Outreach support in response to Covid-19 and are looking for your help to make this possible.

As well as fundraising through JustGiving, CUFITC are part of the Aviva Community Fund which aims to give organisation the opportunity to crowdfund activities specifically for Covid-19 response.

CUFITC’s Aviva Community Fund page can be found HERE and went live to the public last Wednesday.

In addition to this, on Wednesday 10th June, Aviva employees will be given an allocation to put towards projects which will increase their total.

To date, CUFITC have coordinated and delivered over 200 hours of community outreach work in response to the Coronavirus pandemic including over 700 food parcels delivered and over 100 hours of collections for Colchester Foodbank.

Alongside this work, the community team have provided support for older people who are suffering from isolation and are developing new interventions and engagements for those in need whether this be to improve their physical health or mental wellbeing.

All of this is not possible without the support of the local community therefore any support you can give to their Aviva Community Fund will not only be vital to the continuation of these services but will have a direct impact on improving the lives of those within the local community.
