We're Up And Running!

First Cut-Out takes his seat

17 June 2020

We're up and running with the install of the cut-outs, ahead of the Colchester United Vs Exeter City Play-Off Semi-Final

The U's take on the Grecians at the JobServe Community Stadium on Thursday evening, and almost 500 fans will be 'at the game' to cheer on John McGreal and the lads.

It won't be all U's fans though, a number of Exeter supporters wil be 'in the away end' hoping their side get an advantage before the home leg in Devon on Monday.

Please remember that these Play-Off matches are being played behind closed doors and we want fans to enjoy them in the safety of their own homes - When we play, please stay away!

Head of Retail Kim Kimber paid tribute to the fans of both sides and she watched the first cut-out being installed early Wednesday morning.

She told the official website: "The response we have had for the cut-outs has been fantastic. Obviously we would have wanted all the fans here in person, but they've been keen to be here in spirit."

"A big thank-you must go to the Football Company for their hard work in turning it all around in such a short space of time, and of course to every fan that has a cut-out here for the game."

Whilst it is too late for you to be at Thursday's game, you can still order a cut-out for any games that are played behind closed doors next season.

Your cut-out will remain in situ until fans are admitted to games again and should it survive the weather, you will have the opportunity to have it at home, or at work if that's your preference.
