When We Play, Please Stay Away

Fans urged to stay at home and watch or listen to the games.

The Colchester United players would like to remind supporters to stay at home, whilst they try and secure a place in League One.

The U's face Exeter City over two legs in the next few days, and skipper Luke Prosser has asked fans to respect the fact that the games are behind closed doors, and the stadiums should be avoided.

"There's a massive sense of this situation being bittersweet for us.

"It's fantastic that we've got this opportunity to get promotion via the excitement of the Play-Offs - but all the players are gutted that the fans can't be in the stadium with us.

"They have backed us throughout the season, home and away, and the reward of seeing us in the Play-Offs has been snatched away from them.

"As a squad, we are asking the fans to stay away from the games and watch and listen from home."
