FITC To Continue Activities

Community services to carry on as normal

13 March 2020

Colchester United's FITC team will continue to carry out its activities, in line with Government guidelines

Following the decision that professional games in England are to be suspended until April 3rd, Colchester United Football in the Community will continue to operate and Shrub End Community and Sport Centre is open as normal.

Head of Community Corin Haines said “We will be continuing to operate, and our staff will continue to deliver important services to the community.

"Our team will support people on an individual basis so that we remain connected to these communities as we don’t want these people to feel cut off at this worrying time.

"We will continue our engagement as normal within government guidelines and our staff will be active in supporting the community which we feel is now more important than ever.

"We will be keeping up to date and following the Government and Public Heath England guidance and will be in contact if the situation changes."
