Leyton Orient Preview

Steve Ball preveiws Leyton Orient's league visit on Saturday

13 November 2020

Colchester United will head into Saturday's fixture full of confidence after thrashing Southend United 6-1 in the Papa John's Trophy in the week.

The U's put in a top-drawer performance to get one over on their Essex neighbours in the week, and to put the disappointment of last weekend's FA Cup exit behind them.

Steve Ball's side are undefeated in the league at home this season, and could make it four home league wins in a row with victory over Leyton Orient on Saturday afternoon.

But the U's boss will be taking nothing for granted when Ross Embleton's side travel to the JCS this weekend.

"They'll present a difficult challenge, but it's a home game, it's one we're looking to go at them. We want to get three points." - Steve Ball

"Our form in the league is excellent, three wins in four. If there is an opportunity to get into the play offs, then lets take that. That's always going to be a target."

"I saw a lot on Tuesday night, the challenge was for the players who were in the team against Southend was to challenge me for Saturday. That happened, and it's something to think about for this weekend."
