Stevenage Preview

Steve Ball's side back at home for first of four at JCS

3 November 2020

The U's will be looking to bounce back from their ninetieth-minute defeat against league leaders Newport last time out, when Stevenage come to the JCS.

The 7pm kick-off will be the U's first game in seven days, with most other sides having a game at the weekend - incluing the visitors for this evening, Stevenage.

Stevenage are winless in their last nine games in all competitions, taking just three points from a possible twenty-four available.

The U's will be looking to bounce back and get back to winning ways after their last game ended in defeat at Rodney Parade. Newport County took all three points at the death with a ninetieth minute goal from Padraig Amond.

"I went to watch Stevenage on Saturday, and they should have won. They are a really organised team that had loads of chances, hitting the bar and the post." - Steve Ball

"They are a workmanlike team, and they will be a real test tonight."

"Like every game we will be looking to hurt teams, and we are looking to hurt them tonight."

"We want to keep the away form positive, but the home form is really important to us. We have won three out of four at home - I think we are a tough team to play at home."
