Live Stream enjoyed by fans

5 October 2020

Colchester United would like to thank all those fans who have been watching the games via the live stream on iFollow.

For Saturday's game against Oldham Athletic, over 530 U's fans purchased a match pass - along with over 460 Oldham supporters.

These numbers were in addition to the codes that were sent out to Seasonal Permit Holders in lieiu of being at the stadium in person, and U's General Manager Tim Waddington was thankful to all who saw the 3-3 draw.

He told the official website on Monday: "It was a fantastically entertaining match, and I'm sure all those who watched the live stream enjoyed it - if not the final result."

"The figures for the Oldham match showed an increase over the Bolton game and we thank all of our fans that purchased the stream.

"We benefit from every single purchase, with a big chunk of the £10 paid coming directly to the club, and it's a vital revenue for us whilst we can't have our loyal supporters in the stadium cheering Steve, Hayden and the lads on."

And there was a message for the permit holders as well, with Tim continuing: "Our permit holders were fantastic in committing to their permits despite the uncertain times and the Live Stream formed part of what they signed up to."

"A number of them didn't redeem their code for the Oldham game, and we don't want them to miss out on watching the games.

"So, look out for your code coming in via an email from the Ticket Office and follow the instructions that we have given on the website."
