Colchester United Head Coach Steve Ball was pleased with the work-out his young players got at Tottenham.
The training game took place at Spurs' state of the art Enfield Training Centre on Tuesday afternoon, with the hosts winning a low key friendly 3-1
Whilst it was a young U's side that played, the likes of Omar Sowunmi, Ryan Clampin, Courtney Senior and Miles Welch-Hayes all got minutes under their belts ahead of the start of the season.
Head Coach Steve Ball was at the North London facility to run his eye over proceedings, and was happy with the work his side did.
"It was a more than worthwhile training exercise for us, and a number of players that needed match minutes got them."
"As pre-season friendlies go, it was a fantastic experience for the younger lads in the squad and playing at a facility like Spurs have got should make them all want to play at the highest level possible.
"We have now finished with all the pre-season games and are all looking forward to the competitive season starting at the weekend."
