Colchester United will play their final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon with the visit of Salford City to the JobServe Community Stadium.
Heading into the game, the U's know they just need a single point to confirm their Football League status for next season, although they would be safe regardless of the result at the JobServe Community Stadium if Southend United fail to beat Barrow.
But the U's will want to secure their own safety and not leave anything to chance with two games of the season remaining.
"Our message to the players remains the same, we are going to be professional to the end." - Hayden Mullins
"We are approaching it in the same way we have approached the games before, with a plan and a setup going into the game. We want to take care of what can control, we want to win the game.
"We've really had to focus the players in terms of what we want from them. There's bits that we are working on that we want to see come through in the game, and we want to keep pushing right until the end of the season.
"It's hard sometimes to focus the players' minds after what's gone on, but its our job and its what we are trying to do. We don't want to leave anything to chance, we know that if we can get a result on Saturday then we are safe."
Last time the two sides met, Salford City and Colchester United played out a goalless draw at the Peninsula Stadium in March.
