Young Colchester United defender, Billy Cracknell, has joined National League South side Concord Rangers on loan until January 2022.
After signing a first professional contract with the U's earlier in the summer, Billy will now head out on loan to fellow Essex side Concord Rangers to gain first team experience.
Nineteen-year-old Billy made his professional debut for the U's during the 2020/21 season, coming on as a late substitute in the U's 2-1 home victory over Carlisle United in March, as well having first team experience with a previous loan spell at Maldon and Tiptree.
U's Director of Football, Tony Humes, said the loan spell will benefit Billy and his footballing career: "The move to Concord will be good for Billy, allowing him to gain consistent first team level higher than he has experienced before.
"It's the next step in his footballing career after signing a new deal with Colchester United, and I'm sure he will prove to be a useful addition in the National League South side."
We would like to wish Billy success in his loan move to Concord Rangers.
