Colchester United's latest recruit says he is feeling at home in north Essex after putting pen-to-paper on a one-year deal with the club.
Daniels made his full debut for the club in Saturday's win against Oldham Athletic, coming into the starting eleven for the injured Ryan Clampin. His experience was there for all to see, as the U's held out for a 2-1 win at Bounday Park, the first victory of the season.
And the former Premier League left back says he feels as though he is fitting in well at his new club.
"I've been here a good number of weeks now, and I'm really enjoying it. It was great to start off with a win last weekend. I had a number of offers, but they didn't really appeal to me. I really enjoyed it here which is why I signed.
"I want to help improve the club, and help it get to a better place than it was last season. If I can do that, then I'll have done my job properly.
"Ryan (Clampin) was doing really well. It was just a roll of an ankle and I got my chance. To get the draw on my debut and the win last weekend was really pleasing.
"I've been around for a little while now, and I know not to get too high or too low. It's one of them things, and as the manager says, we are trying to put our belief in. Saturday was a good win, and now we have to follow that up.
"We need to keep momentum going. If we can keep picking up points away from home, then we won't be too far off come the end of the season."
