Sylvester Jasper has signed on loan from Fulham.
The nineteen year old forward will remain with the U's until January, and is expected to travel to Carlisle with the squad this weekend, subject to the usual paperwork approval.
Jasper made appearances for Fulham in both the Championship and the FA Cup in the 2019/20 season, but a frustrating season last time out means that he he eager to get games under his belt for the U's during the next five months.
And U's Director of Football Tony Humes thinks the England Youth International will be a useful addition to the U's squad.
He told the official website: "Sylvester is a player with bags of potential and is really hungry to do well here."
"We wanted to bring in a forward to supplement the quality we already have in the forward areas and we are looking forward to seeing Sylvester in action."
