Frank Nouble has returned to Colchester United.
The powerful forward became the second U's signing on Deadline Day, returning to the club after leaving last summer.
His final appearance in a U's shirt came in the Play-Off game at Exeter, having already been informed that his contract wouldn't be renewed due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The twenty nine year old signed for Plymouth ahead of the current season, but has struggled to get regular first team starts for the Pilgrims in recent weeks.
He made the long trip to north Essex on Monday afternoon and signed on loan until the end of the season, subject to the usual ratification from the football authorities.
He is expected to go into Steve Ball's squad for Tuesday night's game at Salford, with the U's Head Coach saying:
"We all know what Frank can bring to the table, both on and off the pitch, and we're pleased that he'll be with us for the next few months."
"He adds that something different to our forward options and will be keen I'm sure to hit the ground running as soon as he steps foot on the pitch and the training ground."
