U23s On The Road At QPR

Young side travelling to London looking for first win of the year

16 February 2021

Dave Huzzey and Richard Hall's side travel to QPR this afternoon in a bid to get their first three points in the Professional Development League this season.

After a difficult trip to Cardiff City last week, the young U's will be looking for a better result at QPR on Tuesday afternoon.

At Cardiff, the U's fell to a 4-1 defeat after Billy Cracknell's sending off after three minutes, with Tom Stagg on target for the travelling Colchester United side.

QPR are the side sitting directly above the U's in the table, in seventh place. Colchester United will leapfrog their opponents with a win, with Rangers two points ahead, although they have played a game less.

In the last game between Colchester United and QPR, the two sides played out a goalless draw at Florence Park back in November.

As always, it will be a chance for the the youngsters to show what they can do, as well as giving those on the fringes of the first team the opportunity to force their way back into Steve Ball and Hayden Mullins' plans for the matchday eighteen.

U's: Coulter, Johnson, Tchamadeu, Akolbire, Terry, Doherty, Marshall Miranda, Cornish, Bohui, Sayer, Folivi, Tovide, Hutchinson, Trialist, Tricker, Hasanally.
