U's Test All Clear

Players and staff return negative results

19 January 2021

Colchester United's latest COVID-19 results reveal no positive tests.

Around forty personnel at Florence Park are now tested twice a week, and both last week's rounds came back all clear for the U's.

Just over thirty positive results were returned across the clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two, with the EFL issuing the following statement on Tuesday afternoon.

The EFL can confirm that a total of 4598 players and Club staff from all seventy two EFL Clubs were tested as part of last week’s testing programme, with thirty two positive cases returned.

A twice-weekly COVID-19 mandatory testing progamme is now in place for all Clubs, with today’s results covering all tests undertaken from Monday 11th to Sunday 18th January.

Fifty three EFL Clubs returned zero positive tests over this period.

Players or Club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate in line with latest Government guidance.

Colchester United wish all those who tested positive a speedy recovery, should they have suffered any symptoms, and a swift return to action.
