Another week of negative results

26 January 2021

Colchester United's latest COVID-19 results reveal no positive tests again.

The number of positive results returned across the clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two reduced from last week's thirty two, with the EFL issuing the following statement on Tuesday afternoon.

The EFL can confirm that a total of 4794 players and Club staff from all 72 EFL Clubs were tested as part of last week’s testing programme, with twenty six positive cases returned.

A twice-weekly COVID-19 mandatory testing progamme is now in place for all seventy two Clubs, with today’s results covering all tests undertaken from Monday 18th to Sunday 24th January. Sixty EFL Clubs returned zero positive tests over this period.

Players or Club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate in line with latest Government guidance.

Colchester United wish all those who tested positive a speedy recovery, should they have suffered any symptoms, and a swift return to action.
