Hayden Mullins and his Colchester United side will be preparing for their first pre-season friendly of the season, with Billericay Town the opponents.
It will be Hayden Mullins' first game in charge of the U's since being permanently appointed Head Coach of the club in the summer, and the first time he and new assistant Alex Dyer will be sitting in the dugout together.
Fans will also be able to get a glimpse of the signings that the new management team have made over the summer months, with five new and two returning players to Colchester United after what has been a busy summer.
The close season has seen Cole Skuse, Luke Hannant, Luke Chambers, Alan Judge and Cameron Coxe arrive through the door, with Freddie Sears and Frank Nouble return to the side on permanent deals.
National League South side Billericay Town will be the first opponents for this new-look Colchester United side. Managed by former U's midfielder Kevin Watson, the U's may come up against a familiar face in the opposing team, with Kyel Reid among the ranks at the New Lodge.

The game kicks off at 7:30pm, with the U's all set to get their season underway against a fellow Essex side.
