Brendan Wiredu has signed a new two year contract at Colchester United.
The twenty one year old initially signed for the U's on loan back in Sptember 2018, making ten appearances in his four month spell at the JobServe Community Stadium.
A permanent deal was struck with Charlton in the January transfer window last season, and the all-action midfielder was instrumental in helping the U's avoid relegation out of the EFL.
Those impressive performances have seen him accept a new deal to keep him at the U's for an extra year, until the summer of 2023.
The new contract was revealed on Monday evening on Col U TV, and Brendan was on the show to discuss the deal and what he wanted from the new season.
