Colchester United will play Birmingham City in the First Round of the Carabao Cup following the draw this afternoon.
Hayden Mullins' side will travel to St Andrews for what will be the second game of the season, with the match scheduled to be played in the week commencing 9th August.
Hayden will return to his old stomping ground, as the U's look to progress to the second round of the competition.
