Frank Nouble returns to Colchester United on a two-year deal, subject to the approval of the usual relevant bodies.
Nouble, who was on loan with the U's for the second half of the 2020/21 season has rejoined Colchester United following the expiry of his contract with League One side Plymouth Argyle.
A popular figure with U's fans, Nouble had a real impact with the club during an initial two-year stint at the JobServe Community Stadium, where he made ninet-two appearances, and scored fourteen goals.
Moving to League One side Plymouth Argyle on the expiration of his deal with the U's, Frank was a regular in a green shirt before a loan switch back to the U's for the second half of the season.
Making a further twenty appearances, scoring three goals, Nouble's loan deal has been made permanent as he returns to Colchester United on a permanent two-year deal.
And speaking following his return, Frank said he had unfinished business with the U's.
"Colchester United was always my first choice, Colchester will always be the closest to my heart. I've still got that feeling that it's unfinished business here.
"Coming back is something I'd always thought about. Don't get me wrong, I was speaking to other clubs as well, had a few phone calls, but actions speak louder than words, and I'm here now and hopefully I can be a success again."
