An update from Colchester United Football in the Community after new Government guidance

Following on from the most recent government announcements in relation to easing of some national restrictions, Colchester United football in the Community (CUFITC) is pleased to provide the following update on our Safe Return to Play.

Sports and Education Programmes

From Monday 8th March 2021, we will return to all our partner schools for face to face delivery. This includes our post 16 football colleges programmes that operate from Thurstable College in Tiptree.

Community Programmes

In line with Government and national Governing Body guidance we are preparing that from Monday 29th March 2021, we will provide face to face delivery on all the programmes visits below:

Easter Holiday programmes
Boys Development Centre Programme
Girls Development Centre Programme
Premier League Kicks Programme
Skills Centre Programme
Grassroots Team coaching
1-2-1 Coaching sessions
Walking Football
Disability Programmes


From Monday 29th March Shrub End Community and Sports Centre will re-open for outdoor pitch bookings only. Our facilities team will contact groups and users regarding bookings in the coming weeks.
