Nineteen-year-old Colchester United midfielder Kwame Poku made his debut for Ghana against São Tomé and Príncipe.
In the final game of Ghana's group stage qualification for next year's Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Kwame Poku made his international debut for the counrty.
After receiving his first call up to the Black Stars a week earlier, Kwame was made to wait until the final qualifying match to make his first appearance, coming on for the final fifteen minutes of the match against São Tomé and Príncipe.
Ghana had already qualified for the tournament with a 1-1 draw against South Africa a few days ago, but ensured their position as group champions with the 3-1 victory.
The Ghanaian team included other players from the English leagues with Arsenal's Thomas Partey, Crystal Palace's Jordan Ayew and Swansea City's Andre Ayew.
