Colchester United will play Gillingham in a pre-season friendly on July 24th.
Hayden Mullins was appointed the U's Head Coach last week, and will take on Steve Evans' Gills at the JobServe Community Stadium in one of his first games in full charge.
After a strong start last summer, the Kent side slipped away from the Play-Off places and finished in tenth place in League One in the 20/21 season.
The two sides met here in north Essex during the build-up to last season, with the visitors winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Stuart O'Keefe and Connor Ogilvie.
The game this time round will kick-off at 1pm on Saturday 24th July - should supporters be allowed to attend, ticket details will be released in due course.
