After returning from his first international call up to Bulgaria U21, U's loanee Syl Jasper is looking forward to getting back in action for Colchester United.
Jasper started both games for Bulgaria U21, against the Netherlands and Moldova in their two European U21 Championships qualifiers, continuing the good form in which he left the U's.
And has returned with a spring in his step, looking forward to getting back in action for Colchester United, starting with this weekend's game away at Stevenage.
"It was really good, really enjoyable playing with players from all over the world. I feel like I represented both Colchester United and myself well when I was out there.
"I'm ready for this Saturday and what the game may bring. I feel like I'm probably having one of my best patches in my time here. I'm playing more regularly, which is a big thing, and I'm playing well, impacting games by getting goals.
"As long as I can keep doing that, I need to keep my head grounded, not let anything get to me and keep doing what I'm doing. As long as I'm helping the team and the club play well, and I'm helping my own progression, then I'm happy.
"We need to keep it going, we know what we are good at."
