Hayden Mullins has said he wants his side to take the good performances against Harrogate Town and Bristol Rovers into this weekend's game at Vale Park.
The U's will come up against fourth place Port Vale on Saturday afternoon, after picking up four points from their last two hame games.
That upturn in home form came at a good time for the U's with another two games at the JobServe Community Stadium on the horizon, but first in the sights is a trip to take on Darrell Clarke's side on Saturday afternoon.
And Hayden knows what sort of side he will be up against at Vale Park.
"This division throws up so many different permutations, but we know they are a good side. We know we have got good form away from home, so we are confident in how we think we will do, ho we think we can perform.
"Picking up some points at home has been good, and we've been able to get a little bit of a run going. We need to try and keep it going, and it has given us a platform to build on, and try and grow from this.
"We created a lot of chances in the last couple and what I liked that I didn't see in the Salford game was that we kept going right to the end. It's a really good trait to have as a side, to keep going. We take knocks but we keep going.
"Defensively we have been good, and we have been riding our luck at times but so have other teams. It is pleasing to see us go right to the end, not let our heads go down, and sulk and moan, but really keep going."
