Colchester United boss Hayden Mullins has said he wants to see a reaction from his players after suffering defeat on Tuesday night against Sutton United.
It was a disappointing evening for the U's after taking the lead early on in the game, but finding themselves a goal down at half time.
Colchester United will take on Scunthorpe United on Saturday afternoon, with the visitors propping up the table with eleven points from fourteen games.
But Hayden and his players know it will be no easy game at the JobServe Community Stadium.
"Obviously the game on Tuesday was disappointing for us all. We set up to attack the game and start fast, and we did that really well, scoring in the opening two minutes.
"But the reaction I saw when we went down to ten men was fantastic. It would have been easy to use that as an excuse and fold. But I think they stood up to be counted and we spoke about staying in the game.
"We have to do better in certain areas to to stop that error leading up to it. We speak about individual errors but it's a team game.
"We are the home team on Saturday. We need to be positive and start on the front foot, like we did on Tuesday. But we have to have a ninety-minute performance, we want to stamp our authority."
