Colchester United have signed Shawn McCoulsky.
The twenty four year old was out of contract before the August transfer window closed, so the U's have been able to snap him up on a short term contract as a free agent.
His most recent club was Forest Green, but he has also had spells at Southend United and Newport County since coming up through the ranks at Bristol City.
He has been training with Hayden Mullins and the U's squad for the past week, and signed just in time to be included in today's squad for the game against Scunthorpe United.
He is looking forward to getting involved as soon as possible, saying: "I just want to play as much as I can and help the team as much as I can."
"I'm a striker who likes to score goals, and I hope that I can score the goals that will help us."
Shawn also saw himself and the U's as a good fit, adding: The Manager has told me how he wants us to play, and I think that I fit into the style of play perfectly."
