Colchester United's U23s take on Southend United on Friday night.
The Essex derby at the JobServe Community Stadium sees the young U's play their second group game in the Premier League Cup.
Dave Hussey and Richard Hall saw their youngsters get off to a great start in the competition last month, winning 4-2 at Stoke City.
They will be looking to make it six points from two matches when the Shrimpers visit north Essex, with the game being played whilst the first team take on Tranmere.

Tickets can be purchased online on colutickets.com, but will also be available to buy on the ticket machines in the Club Shop, which will also be open throughout the build-up to the game.
Admission to U23s matches at the JobServe Community Stadium is free for First Team Seasonal Permit Holders when booking online. Ticket price is deducted prior to payment.
