Colchester United return to Sky Bet League Two action on Friday night, making the journey to Barrow's Dune Hotel Stadium in search of three points.
Hayden Mullins has overseen an unbeaten start in the league on the road for his side, with two draws and a win from their opening three games. The game at Barrow will be the third league match away from home in a row after last weekend's match was called off at the last minute.
In the U's last game, they fell to a ninety-third minute goal from Gillingham to lose their opening Papa John's Trophy game, with Mullins and Dyer naming a much changed side, with a number of games in short succession.
It is likely that the missing players of Smith, Chambers, Daniels and Skuse will return to the squad for Colchester United's long trip up to Barrow on Friday.
The Opposition - Barrow
Under new management this season with former Forest Green boss, Mark Cooper in charge, the Bluebirds have made a solid start in their second season in League Two since promotion from the National League.
With eight points from their opening six games, Barrow are currently sitting in ninth place, a point outside the play-off positions with a record of two wins, two draws and two losses.
Coming out 3-0 winners from their last match, the Bluebirds picked up three points on the road at Oldham Athletic, with Banks, Zanzala and Grayson all on target for Cooper's team.
Summer signing Offrande Zanzala has hit three in his five appearances this season, putting him joint sixth in the scoring charts after making the move from Carlisle in the close season.
Zanzala was one of eleven summer signings in Cumbria, with former Carlisle United teammate, Paul Farman joining him at Barrow. Other notable signings include Mark Ellis, Josh Gordon and Robbie Gotts, with Cooper having to replace sixteen departures from last season's squad.
Last Time We Met
Last time the U's faced off against Barrow at The Dune Hotel Stadium was one of the first few games in the 2020/21 season. With two great goals in the game, one from each side, the spoils were shared in a 1-1 draw.
Noah Chilvers opened the scoring with a strike that would eventually go on to win Goal of the Season, while Gary Jones' equally impressive strike earned a point for the hosts.
