Colchester United have signed Chay Cooper.
The nineteen year old has been with the club since the start of pre-season, and has now put pen to paper on a U's contract.
Living in Harlow as a youngster, Chay was spotted by Southend United scouts in Sunday football, and signed for the Shrimpers Academy as a ten year old.
Swift progress saw Chay playing two age groups up, and Spurs signed him when he was fifteen.
The U's have now snapped him up, and he is expected to start his career here at the JobServe Community Stadium with Dave Hussey's U23s squad.
