Another Way To Get Your Ticket!

Touchscreen installed at JCS

7 September 2021

Colchester United have installed a large touchscreen in the Club Shop for the purchase of Matchday tickets.

From Tuesday's game here at the JobServe Community Stadium, fans who use the touchscreen can choose the section of the stadium they want to sit in and the software will select the best seats available to them at that time.

Tickets can be paid for by using a debit or credit card and the device supports Tap & Go payments for purchases up to £45.00.

One or more CUFC Privilege Cards can also be used for a single transaction. So if you have a group of you with funds spread across a number of Privilege Cards, these can be combined to make a single purchase.

However, you won’t be able to select how much it will take from each card so the full amount would be taken from the first Privilege Card used if it had the funds available or the card will be completely depleted of its remaining funds if it does not.

Chairman Robbie Cowling said of the new option: "Initially, the screens can only sell tickets for the game being played on that day but we hope to expand that in the future."

"We think we have made it really simple to use but someone will be close by to assist if required. By the Crawley game, we hope to have two such screens in operation.

"If you do choose to use these touch screens, please be mindful that they are currently situated in the club shop where other fans are purchasing club merchandise.

"We believe this is a good place to situate the screens so that they’re in the warm and the dry, and because help is close at hand."
