Colchester United Captain Tommy Smith has been called up to the New Zealand squad ahead of their next two international matches.
Smith has already earned thirty-eight caps for his country, including playing in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and will be hoping to add to that tally in the next couple of weeks when the All Whites take on Curaçao and Bahrain.
Both games will be played in Bahrain due to travel restrictions with the first game played against Curaçao on the 9th October. The second game against the host nation will be played on Tuesday 12th October.
Tommy will miss the U's game on the road at Tranmere Rovers on the 8th October, and we would like to wish him the best of luck when he leaves on international duty.
