Colchester United boss Wayne Brown says he is looking forward to the final three games of the season, after securing the club's Football League status.
Colchester United head to South Wales to take on Newport County on Friday night, looking to finish the season in a positive way after a 3-0 win on Monday.
Wayne Brown's side cruised to victory against Bradford City, with Myles Kenlock, Brendan Wiredu and Freddie Sears all on target, ensuring the U's will be playing League Two next season.
And with three games of the season to go, Wayne Brown says he is looking forward to seeing what his side can do.
"The aim is to try and get as many points on the board as we can muster, and we have three really important games coming up. I feel if you have a strong finish to the season, that lends itself to having a strong start to the following season.
"We've not got many out of contract in the summer, so we will be working with pretty much the same group as we have now, so as I said if we can start building on something, and finish strongly, hopefully that can go into next season.
"It's a funny one in terms of achievement, staying up and surviving in a division doesn't really sit well with me. But, that said, with the circumstances of where the team was when we came in, we have achieved that. We knew the quality of the squad we had, but it was about taking it one game at a time, and we need to build on the positivity.
"Newport are close to the play-offs and they will be desperate for the three points. They'll look at this fixture as a real opportunity, but it's down to us to try and get as many points as we can. We want to build on our performances and see how far we can get up this table."
