Boss enjoys good week after Harrogate win

8 April 2022

Colchester United made it back-to-back wins, claiming their fourth victory in six games against Harrogate Town at the weekend.

And the U's now return back to the JobServe Community Stadium, with another important game in the quest for Football League survival, as Stevenage travel to North Essex.

The U's could put further distance between themselves and Boro, with the gap already standing at eleven points with just six league games to play this season.

Wayne Brown's side will be doing everything they can to pick up a valuable three points this weekend, with the boss saying it's been a good week at Florence Park after a positive result last Saturday.

"It's been a good week in regards to training, although we have had testing conditions. We've been trying to prepare the lads in a shape and formation with roles and responsibilities, both in and out of possession, to try and get the three points come Saturday.

"But every game is different, so we have to stick to what we do, because when we do it well, we have been getting good results. There is on occasion, a team will throw a bit of a curveball at you, and we want to be prepared for that.

"We probably weren't at our best last weekend, for the first half an hour, but we found a way.

"And this weekend is just another three points. They find themselves in a difficult position, but I've got no interest in how big the game is for Stevenage, but it's a big game for us and we need three points."
