Colchester United's U23s take on Crewe on Wednesday evening.
Richard Hall and Liam Bailey's youngsters will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways, having lost at Sheffield United in their last outing.
The U's went down 5-1 against the Blades, a result that kept them in sixth place in the Professional Development League table.
They have three or four matches in hand on the teams above them through, and will be looking to close the gap with a win against the Championship side Crewe Alexandra on Wednesday.
