Colchester United have secured the loan signing of twenty-four-year-old midfielder Charlie Owens from QPR until January.
Owens becomes the third new face, and fifth summer signing for Wayne Brown's side after a successful trial period with the club over the last couple of weeks.
Joining from QPR, the midfielder said he couldn't wait to get started with the U's, as he heads up to Stockport County with the squad for tomorrow's game.
"I came in seven or eight days ago to start training with the boys and I've loved it ever since. I've been pushing to get it done as soon as possible and I'm very excited to get going.
"As a midfielder I try and get on the ball, showing my range of passes. I love a tackle, getting stuck in and hopefully I can get a few goals as well and I want to get as many minutes as I can at the weekend."
Owens has made a few appearances for his parent club, QPR, as well as spending a short time out on loan at Wycombe Wanderers in League One. The new U's midfielder has also made appearances for the Northern Ireland youth sides.
Charlie will wear number 20 in his time with Colchester United.
