The man in the middle for Colchester’s trip up to Manchester for our game against Stockport is David Rock.
Last season he was the referee for 35 games. In those 35 games he handed out 128 yellow cards and seven red cards.
Rock was the referee for Colchester’s 1-0 win against West Ham’s U21 team in the football league trophy in September of last year. As well this he was also the referee for our game against Swindon later on in the competition where the U’s won 2-1.
They were the only two games that he was in charge of for the U’s last season, the majority of the games where Rock took the lead role were in League One and League Two.
Assistant – Kevin Morris
Kevin Morris was an assistant for 25 games last season and three games this season including two Women’s Super League games. He was mainly involved in League One and League Two games last season however he didn’t officiate any of Colchester’s matches.
Assistant – Grant Taylor
Grant Taylor has been involved in two games this season and 24 games last season including 11 games as a fourth official. He was one of the officials for mainly League One and League Two games, but was also an assistant in the U’s Carabao Cup Qualifying round loss away at Birmingham.
Fourth Official – Shaun Taylor
Shaun Taylor has never been a Fourth Official in his career but has worked as a referee and an assistant in the National League North and the U18 Premier League.
