The man in the middle for the U’s trip to Portman Road is Sam Purkiss.
Sam Purkiss was been in charge of two games this season, both of which were in League Two where he handed out six yellow cards. Last season he was the referee for 31 games where he gave out 112 yellow cards and five red cards.
He was the referee for only one Colchester game during the 2021/22 season and the matches he officiated were mainly League One, Two and the football league cup.
Leigh Crowhurst is no stranger to Colchester United, he was involved three of our games last season. He was an assistant in 17 matches and also worked as a fourth official in eight games.
He was an official in League One, League Two, the FA Cup and the League Cup.
Conor Farrell has been the assistant in 24 matches since the start of the 2021/22 season, he was involved in League One, Leagues Two, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the League Two Play Offs.
Paul Kelly is the fourth official for our trip to Portman Road and he was involved in 24 games in the last campaign. The competitions he officiated were League Two, League One, the League Cup and the FA Cup.
