Colchester United Head Coach, Wayne Brown, says he is in a confident mood ahead of the U's trip to Stockport County this weekend.
Wayne Brown's side claimed their first win of the season on Tuesday evening, upsetting the odds to beat Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup.
And now Wayne Brown says he wants his side to carry the confidence into this weekend as his team search for a first three points in the league.
"The performances have been indifferent, of a full ninety-minute performance. But the Ipswich game was probably as close as you're going to get to a full ninety-minute performance in terms of discipline, mental capacity and structure.
"The two league games previous we've been very strong in both second halves of the game, and it's now about putting a performance together over a long period to give ourselves the best chance of getting a win which is our aim for Saturday.
"We've done well creating chances, scoring in every game that I've been here other than two or three last season. It proves we are creating - Ipswich was a unique one, as we knew chances would be limited because of the way we set up, but we need to be ruthless and take them when they come.
"It'll be no different on Saturday - we are looking to be positive, looking to create and get in to the final third which I think we did against Carlisle at home. On a different day you score two or three, and we are sitting here with three points rather than one. So, our mentality won't change."
