Interim boss excited for upcoming game

5 February 2022

Colchester United boss Wayne Brown says he is hoping his side can continue their unbeaten run at Leyton Orient this weekend.

Wayne Brown's arrival with the assistance of Joe Dunne and Dave Huzzey has seen the U's make it three games without defeat for the first time since the start of the season.

The win and two draws has seen Colchester United extend their advantage over the bottom two clubs, and Brown is hoping that his side can continue their good performances and form in East London on Saturday afternoon.

"I think it's important that we do a little bit of a debrief on the Tuesday game, it's the only way you can make improvements in your game both in and out of possession. We need to pick the bones out of the game on Tuesday, but now it's been about moving on and getting ready for Saturday.

"I think we can be better than we were on Tuesday with the ball, and I think we have the personnel in the group to hurt other teams, and we only showed glimpses - we need to be more aggressive with what we do in possession.

"The unbeaten run we are on generates more belief and more confidence from the lads, and the more that we can keep this run going, the more that will add to those. We go into the Orient game in a positive frame of mind, and we want to continue that."
