Wayne Brown's side picked up their second consecutive win on the road, with a 1-0 victory at Leyton Orient on Saturday.
The win meant it was four games unbeaten since Wayne Brown was brought in as interim Head Coach, with Freddie Sears' goal sealing thr three points for the U's.
And making it four games unbeaten has moved Colchester United away from the bottom two places, now sitting in twentieth and hoping to look up for the remainder of the season, rather than down.
It will be a tough challenge on Tuesday evening though, taking on a Mansfield Town side that have lost just one of their last thirteen league encounters, moving from twenty-third in the table to sixth.
"All we are interested in is the next game that comes along. We went to Orient and had a real good go at them, and we are obviously very pleased we were able to get over the line with the win.
"The support was unbelievable. First class. That's what we need, when you have that kind of support, the lads thrive off it. We can't thank the fans enough, and we need them to continue that.
"Now all we are focused on is the next game, and again we will have a go at Mansfield on Tuesday. We have as good a chance as any, and we know it won't be an easy game, but we are all in this together."
