Colchester United have signed Tom Dallison.
The twenty five year old put pen to paper on a contract on Thursday afternoon, and he makes the move from Crawley Town subject to the usual ratification from the relevent bodies.
Tom started his career in the academies at Arsenal and West Ham, but signed for Brighton & Hove Albion at the age of seventeen.
After almost five years on the South Coast, he headed north of the border to Falkirk, before returning to West Sussex in 2018 to sign for Crawley Town.
He was a regular in the starting eleven in the first half of both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons for the Red Devils, but COVID-19 and an injury respectively interrupted things.
The Dagenham born defender was also heavily involved before Christmas this time round, but the U's have snapped him up on a two and a half year deal for an undisclosed fee.
He is expected to go straight into the U's squad for Saturday's game against Rochdale.
