Activate camps return again this summer supporting families in our local communities.
Colchester United Football in the Community (CUFITC) is working in partnership with The Active Essex Foundation, to offer FREE FUNDED summer sports and food camps in Colchester and Maldon. These camps are available to support children and families in receipt of free school meals, or in need of financial support for child care. Over the past 18 months, CUFITC have been committed to supporting families throughout North Essex, engaging with 5832 young people aged 5-16 years old in 2021/22 with school holidays.
We’re delighted to be funded again to continue to offer this provision to local families throughout the upcoming 6 week summer holiday! Throughout each day on an Activate Camp, children will participate in a range of enrichment sporting activities, which this summer include; Multi Sports, Football, Mini Golf, Inflatables, Giant Size Football darts, Art and Craft sessions and community and educational workshops delivered by Essex Police.
The 3 venues in which Activate Camps will be available are:

- Colchester Academy School, Hawthorn Ave, Greenstead, CO4 3JL
- Maldon & Tiptree Football Club, Maldon, CM9 5LQ
