Colchester United's first team squad paid a visit to the first of two Summer Camps.
The club's Football In the Community Scheme, (FITC), are hosting a five day Summer Camp, and they had a great start on Monday with Wayne Brown and the entire squad taking a trip to Shrub End to meet the participants.
The players signed autographs for all the kids, took part in a Q&A session and posed for photos.
Skipper Tommy Smith, himself attending despite being in a protective boot and on crutches, was pleased the lads could meet the youngsters on the course.
"It was great to come over and see all the smiling faces."
"It was only the first afternoon of the camp but they all seemed like they were having a great time - credit to all the staff over here at the Community Hub."
"We got to meet all the children, and it was fantastic to see a lot of Col U shirts in amongst the Premier League shirts being worn.
"I hope they enjoyed today, and enjoy the rest of the week on the camp."
