Colchester United Football Club is delighted to announce that we are accepting nominations for a female community champion.
Ahead of International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8 March Colchester United Football Club is delighted to announce that we are accepting nominations for a female community champion who you feel is deserving of recognition and attendance at this Saturday’s home match V Port Vale 3pm Kick off. We are keen to hear from nominations of females who have supported within the community, perhaps had a turn in circumstances or may have an interest in football but not in a financial position to attend games.
The EFL are hosting a dedicated women’s weekend on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 March to celebrate female supporters, whilst also trying to drive attendance among women and girls. It is also an opportunity to recognise the barriers in women attending fixtures and raise awareness of the work of Clubs and Club Community Organisations in this area.

Three nominations will then be selected to receive two free tickets for Colchester United V Port vale on Saturday 5th March 2022 @ Jobserve Community Stadium. This will be announced on the club website and social media channels by 1pm on Friday 4th March.
