Shamal George says he remains positive after the last couple of games, despite the results not going his way.
The U's 'keeper has said his side have deserved more from the last couple of games, with Colchester United falling to 1-0 defeats against Bristol Rovers and Forest Green Rovers.
This weekend provides another tough challenge for Shamal and his U's teammates, but the shot-stopper wants to keep the standards high against the promotion-chasing sides.
"The performances have been very good, it's just us needing to be more clinical at the other end of the pitch. We've been fairly solid defensively, but we've conceded a couple of sloppy goals at Bristol and against Forest Green.
"We have to cut out those little mistakes that are costing us clean sheets because we are defending solidly, and we are creating chances as much as the opposition.
"I haven't kept as many clean sheets as I'd have liked to, but I feel I've done well. I wouldn't put it down to my abilities, I'd say it just hasn't gone right for us some times. It happens, but we will be doing our best to be putting points on the board."
