Tommy Smith has been called up to the New Zealand squad for the upcoming World Cup Qualifying game in Qatar.
Tommy Smith and his New Zealand teammates came through the Oceania qualifying stages, winning their final game against Soloman Islands 5-0 in the Middle East.
The victory set up an Intercontinental Play Off game against Costa Rica, on the 14th June in Qatar, with Smith named as part of the sqaud looking to make it to the World Cup Finals later this year.
U's Skipper Smith has already collected forty-six caps for his nation and is looking to add to that later this year with showpiece games in the World Cup.
