The U’s have been out on the training pitches working hard for their upcoming game against Crewe Alexandra.
And defender Tom Eastman has been speaking to the press about this weekend’s fixture and his team’s need to get points on the board.
“It’s quite early on in the season still, but we definitely need points. We’re at the bottom of the table at the minute, somewhere we don’t want to be, but we’ve got some big games coming up and we’ve got to try and get three points, starting Saturday.
“We’re all fully aware of our position. We’ve got an experienced changing room, and, on paper, we shouldn’t be down there, but we are, and we have to put in the performances to climb that table.
“The only way to get out of it is with hard work and by sticking together. It’s good that we’ve had a full week’s training, which should hopefully do us good for this Saturday.
“We’ve been working really hard this last week, and it’s nice to have a little breather from back-to-back-to-back games all the time, and we’ve worked on a few things that we want to bring in Saturday.”
