Cameron Coxe Makes Loan Switch To Boreham Wood

Welsh defender heads to North London until January

13 October 2022

Cameron Coxe has joined National League side Boreham Wood on a loan deal that will run until January.

The Welsh defender joined the U’s at the start of last season, initially on loan from Solihull Moors, making the permanent switch to North Essex earlier this year, and has gone on to make forty-eight appearances for the club.

And now the twenty-three-year-old defender will head on loan to promotion-chasing Boreham Wood in the National League, in a bid to play some more first team minutes.

U's boss Matt Bloomfield said on the move: "I wish Cameron all the best during his loan spell at Boreham Wood. This was a great opportunity for him to go and play regular football at a club where I know the manager will treat him properly.

"We will be watching him and keeping an eye on his progress."

Luke Garrard’s side are currently third in fifth tier of English football, trailing Notts County and Wrexham, as they aim to make it into the Football League for the first time in their history.

Everyone at Colchester United would like to wish Cameron the best of luck for his time at Meadow Park.
